By Group ruling, the members of the cast and the producer remain anonymous

This festival ran under the auspices of Bradford Civic Playhouse and the Bradford & District Theatre Guild.

The festival is divided into three Groups.  (The Group code is shown against each team name above).
  1. Guest Group.  Invited teams to compete for the “W.A.Dyson” Memorial Trophy (to be held for one year).  The winning team will also receive an award of 20 guineas.
  2. Theatre Guild Group.  Teams from societies affiliated to the Bradford & District Theatre Guild to compete for the following trophies (to be held for one year) – “Telegraph & Argus” Trophy, “Yorkshire Post” Trophy.  The winning team will also receive an award of 10 guineas.  Awards will be made to the best actor and actress in this gropu
  3. Youth Club Group.  Teams from Bradford Youth Clubs to compete for the “Miss E.E.Hart Memorial Trophy” (to be held for one year).  The winning team will also receive an award of 10 guineas.  In addition, the Clubs from which the best actor and actress in this Group are chosen will each receive 5 guineas.
All cash awards are to be considered as contributions to the funds of the Societies concerned and not rewards to individual teams or performers.
